❗ Plans for tomorrow, Thursday 25th June ❗ Thank you for your support today with the alternative arrangements we have had to put in place. As you will be aware the red heat alert continues through tomorrow, so we are in a similar position around staffing and the capacity of our air-conditioned areas in the school. The arrangements for tomorrow will be as follows: School will be open all day for Years 8,9 & 12. School will be closed to Year 7 and Year 10 students. Work will be set by teachers via Google Classrooms to complete during the day. For more information, please see the email sent to all Parents and Carers earlier today.

❗ Important Information ❗ School will be open today for Year 7, 10 and 12 as normal for the full day. We have prioritised these year groups as the two senior exam groups and Y7 as the youngest students in school for childcare. We also have the rooming capacity to ensure they are in the air-conditioned rooms/ coolest areas of the school. They should go to their tutor group first thing where they will be issued with their rooming for the day. -Y8 and Year 9 should not attend school. Where students are able to, they should access work which will be set by their teachers on Google Classrooms. We are sorry that we have had to make this decision but ensuring the safety of all our students is paramount. Further communication will be issued today about arrangements for Thursday which may required with the further forecast for even higher temperatures. For more information, please refer to the email sent to all Parents and Carers yesterday.

We would like to recognise and celebrate the outstanding efforts of our Year 7–11 students who took part in the KS3/KS4 Team Athletics event on Friday. Competing with determination, resilience, and excellent teamwork, our students achieved an impressive result, finishing 3rd place in every year group—a fantastic accomplishment that reflects their consistency and commitment. Special congratulations go to Cam Y8, Izzy Y8, Liv Y10, Yas Y9 and Polly Y9 who each delivered exceptional performances to win their individual events. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to their hard work and talent. All students represented the school with pride. They were widely praised not only for their athletic performances, but also for their politeness, conduct, and sportsmanship throughout the event.
