Over the past few weeks, our Year 12 students have been taking the next steps in their academic journeys by exploring the wide range of opportunities available after sixth form. During their Academic Enrichment lessons, they have been learning about the UCAS application process, researching universities, exploring degree apprenticeships, and discovering a variety of alternative post-18 pathways. As they complete their Year 12 studies, now is the perfect time to start thinking about what life after sixth form could look like.

It is with deep regret that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Summer Showcase scheduled for Wednesday 8th July. We will instead rearrange the performance for the Autumn Term, with a new date to be confirmed. With the exceptionally high temperatures forecast, the safety and wellbeing of our students must remain our priority. Performing on stage under theatre lighting in these conditions could be uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for the students, and we are also mindful of the comfort of our audience throughout the evening. As a result, this evening’s dress rehearsal will also be postponed. Further information regarding the rescheduled showcase and rehearsal arrangements will be shared during the Autumn Term. All tickets already purchased will automatically be transferred to the new showcase date. Should you be unable to attend once the new date has been confirmed, a full refund will be offered. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause, particularly after all the hard work and excitement leading up to the performance. However, we firmly believe that putting our students’ health, safety and wellbeing first is the right decision. Thank you for your understanding, patience and continued support.

🏅 What an incredible Sports Day we had on Wednesday! Our students truly blew us away with their determination, resilience, and teamwork. From rowing and shot put to relays and races, every event showcased their enthusiasm, commitment, and fantastic sportsmanship. We couldn't be prouder of the effort and support shown by all our students throughout the day. A huge congratulations to Kingsford, who were worthy winners after a closely contested battle between the colleges! 🏆 Well done to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success! 👏

Over the last few weeks, I've had the opportunity to meet with 50 families, and I have truly valued every conversation.
